Anyone who’s ever watched any amount of TV in the U.S. has seen the man. His name is Billy Mays, and he’s the hottest pitchman on TV right now. Billy got his big break back in 1993 when he met the owner and rival pitchman Max Appel. The two struck up a friendship and Appel eventually hired Billy Mays to pitch his product, Orange Glo. Billy Mays has since sold over $50,000,000 worth of Orange Glo, and Orange Glo International products. Max Appel has credited Billy Mays with those huge sales numbers.
Billy Mays has started his owned company called Mays Promotions Inc. based in Florida, where you can hire him to pitch your very own products on TV. But this kind of promotion won’t come cheap from Billy. He charges upwards of $30,000 for a two minute promotion.
Mays is world famous for his opening line “Hi! Billy Mays here!” and has sold muti-millions of dollars in product for Orange Glo International and other DRTV companies.
