Anyone who’s ever watched 5 minutes of TV at night in the last 6+ months has seen the infomercial for this product called the Snuggie. It’s just an ugly blaket that comes in ugly colors and his has sleeves so so you can wrap the Snuggie around you.
Like most people, I laughed when I saw this piece of garbage. But I knew they must be on to something when the infomercial for the Snuggie kept airing over and over and over for months on end. They would only keep doing this for the same reason that the Shamwow did. Because it’s selling like hotcakes to fat ladies. Not only is the Snuggie selling well, but $80,000,000 worth of snuggies have been sold.
The kicker? The “Snuggie” is the the first of it’s kind or the first to market. They just had the best marketing. And took it to the bank.
