It seems I keep bumping into people who tell me they are professional poker players. I almost have to laugh when I hear this. I’m not an idiot. I don’t care what you think, what you see on TV or what your friends say. Playing poker is not a way to earn a living. Ever since the World Poker Tour and that hot bitch Shana Hiatt hit the airwaves, everyone and their grandma are now claiming they are a professional poker player. The fact is, 99.999% of those making that claim are broke as a joke. Even lots of the true professionals you see on TV go broke from time to time. Mike “The Mouth” Matusow has been flat broke busted at least twice. The odds of you earning a living from playing poker are less than the odds of you becoming a Hollywood celebrity. The odds of you making a fortune with a website and Adsense are about 100X greater than making one red cent playing poker. Read more...
