Krispy Kreme has exited the Houston donut race. The financially sick company has closed its Houston stores in the wake of massive financial problems. Krispy Kreme has unloaded its 5 Houston stores to franchisee Lone Star Donuts. Word on the street is that Lone Star Donuts will keep ownership of the 5 prime locations and reopen them as Jumbles Donut Factory and Coffee Bar. LOL! What? Jumbles Donuts? Yeah….right.
