Whenever you start a business of and kind, you need to separate yourself from the pack and make yourself stand out. You need your customers or potential customers to be able to recognize you in an instant.
Bottom line, you need to brand your product, and aggressively market your brand no matter if it’s a product, a clothing line, a website, or whatever it is you’re trying to sell or promote. A brand can even be a person such as in the case of Ron Popeil. When I say “Ron Popeil”, you know who I’m talking about. When I say “golden arches”, you know what I’m talking about.
Think of all the major company logos that you see. You know instantly what the product is, even if the words are not in english. You know what the Nike “swoosh” looks like. You know what the McDonald’s “golden arches” look like. You know what the Coca-Cola “swirl” looks like. That’s because these companies have made every effort to put this branding in your face as much as possible. They do this because it makes you familiar with their products and get you comfortable. When people get familiar and comfortable with a product brand, that will convert into sales.
So pick out a logo for your business, and promote it every chance you get. It will eventually pay dividends.
